How SpaceAG was founded
SpaceAG was founded in October 2017 by Cesar Urrutia and Guillermo De Vivanco. Their vision was to transform agriculture into a sustainable industry that could feed a growing population while taking care of the planet. They will develop digital solutions to bring productivity and efficiency to the industry, helping farmers increase their profits and create a positive impact both in the environment and in their communities.
Cesar is a biologist with a master’s degree in remote sensing and geographic information systems. Guillermo has plenty of experience with startups and business innovation. He co-founded the first angel investors network and seed VC fund in Peru. Both Cesar and Guillermo have close ties with agriculture. They realized that a huge amount of resources like water and fertilizers, as well as millions of dollars were wasted because of bad decisions in the farms.
